How To Improve Your Article's CTR
How Did I Do It?
Over the course of writing 82 articles I've learned what works and what doesn't when it comes to gaining the reader's attention as well as their click through. Yes, I have had articles published on EzineArticles that have done horribly as far as views and click through's. But I have also had articles published who have produced CTR well over 30%. Just look at the screenshot above to see what I mean. Guess what, though? By looking over my successful articles I now know why they have done so well. And I am willing to share the 3 most succesful techniques when it comes to improving your CTR. Alright, let's get started!
In order to have someone click a link in your article you first have to make sure that people are actually viewing your article. And the best way to do this is to create a compelling title. The first thing that a potential reader sees is your title, so you need to make sure that it grabs their attention and invokes curiosity. The hard part about is that creating a title solely focused on this aspect can potentially hurt your article's SEO. So, how exactly can you a balance between the two? Make your titles longer. Seriously, this is all you need to do. By using a longer title you can not only utilize keyword rich phrases but you can also gain the potential reader's attention. Still not sure what I mean? Don't worry, I've created a sample title that outlines the format you should be using in order gain readers.
"Making Money Online-How You Can Live The Life You've Always Wanted"
So basically you will split your title into two sections. In the first you will use your a keyword phase of your choice and in the second you will try to appeal to the potential reader's emotions.
2. Keep It Short
If you want a reader to click the link at the end of your article then you need to keep it short. Many people are looking for a quick fix for their problems and aren't interested in reading a long drawn out articles. This is why you need to make your articles 250-350 words in length. This is just the right length to ensure that you will grab the readers attention as well as leave them craving more. I'm sure that their are many writers out there who are successful with longer articles but through my experience I have learned that shorter articles have provided the best results.
3. To Be Continued
This last technique is probably the most important so pay attention. And actually there are two aspects to this technique. The basic idea of this technique is that you give the reader what they want in such a way that they will want more. Now, I realize that this concept is rather confusing but first let me further explain what I mean by this.
Once you have gained a reader you need to make sure that you keep their interest. So, in order to do this you need to get the reader thinking. The best way to do this is by asking a question. For instance, "What would you buy with all of the extra cash earned through internet marketing?". You see, I've made the reader realize that by being an internet marketer they will be able to earn an extra source of income. And I've left it up to them to decide how they would use this money. The reason why this works is because I am causing the reader to experience several key emotions at the same time. I've given them hope of making money and excitement through allowing them to dictate how they would use the extra cash. And because of these two things I have also made them curious for more information, which means that they will continue to read the article.
The next part to this technique is to lead the reader to believe that your link is the solution to their problem. What I mean by this is that after asking the reader a question you will need to give them a portion of the information they desire but also leave them wanting more. This is something that is rather difficult to master because you will need to find a balance that works for you.

An Unlikely Way Of Earning Commisons
Since I've already introduced myself and what I plan to accomplish with this blog, it is now time to give you some valuable information. In this post I am going to tell you about how I've been making a pretty steady flow of passive income over the past two weeks.
As you can see I have already earned a little over $200 for this pay period alone. Now, I realize that there are many ways of manipulating ClickBank screen shots. But please understand that this screen shot is 100% real. The reason why the specific earnings for each sale are blocked off is because I am a bit paranoid about my privacy when it comes to making money online. So how can you trust me? You can trust me because in this post I will NOT try to sell you anything and I am going to tell you exactly how I was able to earn these commissions.
The funny thing about this method of earning money is that it was meant to be entirely experimental. I really wasn't expecting to see any money out of it to be honest. You see, I am still very new to internet marketing as a whole and as a result I am still constantly experimenting with new methods.
What method did I use? The method of earning money which I used to earn these commissions was by writing 1 single article which directly linked to an affiliate sales page. This article was relatively short and was published to one of the most popular article directories. But I didn't stop there. The main thing that I wanted to test out through this article submission was to see if getting it into the most viewed section would help me get sales.
In order to do this I searched for profitable keywords by using the Google Adwords Keyword Tool and then implemented these keywords throughout my article so that the keyword density would be optimized. Basically, I was trying to optimize my article for the search engines.
After doing my keyword research I submitted my article to several social bookmarking sites. And finally, I did whatever else I could to get my article viewed by others so that I could increase the view count. It really doesn't matter how you do it because in the end all you need are a lot of views. You won't have to worry about targeted traffic at this point.
These are the only things that I did. Remember, it doesn't matter how you go about getting other people to view your article as long as it is being viewed. So be creative!
Well, the answer to this question was kind of spoiled by my screen shot up above but I guess I'll answer it again. Yes, it has earned me quite a lot of money. To put things into perspective for you, I have 16 total ClickBank sales and 9 of them have been earned from this article. And while I do enjoy the money being earned from this method, it is a very bitter-sweet occurence. Why? Because I have probably only put 2 hours total into writing and promoting this article while I am working my ass off using article/bum marketing techniques for 2 other products and have yet to see any sales from them.
Looking back on this recent experiment I know realize why it has been so profitable for me. Having your article as one of the most viewed articles will give you tons of free advertising and exposure. Seriously, once you get it to the top you really don't have to do anything else. This just seems to be the most logical explanation for me.
Anyways, hope you found this post useful! And don't forget to try this method out! What have you got to lose?

This Is My First Post
Well, as my bland title name suggests this is my very first post on this blog. And in order to start things off I am going to tell you a little about myself and what I plan to accomplish with this blog.
Who The Hell Are You?
Hello, my name is Max and if had a name tag I would surely show it to you. I am a 17 year old male and I am about to start my senior year in high school. Here are some random things about me. I like gaming. I like drawing. I like the internet. I'm sarcastic and have a strange sense of humor. And I really enjoy listening to music. That is all.
Now that I have told you a little about myself in a very awkward manner I will now move on to why I am starting this blog.
What Is The Point Of This Blog?
About a month and a half ago I began my attempt at making money online. Why? Throughout my whole junior year I did not work at all. I had applied to several part time jobs but none of them even replied. By the time this summer had come I was fed up with being unemployed and so I started to look for opportunities online. I dabbled into some money making methods here and there (which I will go into further detail later) which ultimately led me internet marketing.
And this is how I have come to making this blog. In this blog I will share my personal experiences as well as give you guys some helpful tips. And yes, I have actually made a decent sum of money during the past one and a half months I have been doing internet marketing. It's far from what I would like to earn but it has definitely shown me that I can be successful online if I keep on persisting.
It is also very important to understand that the point of this article is NOT to deceive you. I am fully aware that I don't have a tremendous amount of experience with internet marketing but I have gained very valuable knowledge over the course of the short period of time that I have been at it. Again, I am not making this blog just as a means to feed you lies in order to make a quick buck.
Alright, quit the rambling...
I hope that the 3 readers who have looked over this post have stayed until the end. And to those of you who have I thank you very much. Before you leave I have one thing to ask of you. Please keep an eye on this blog for new posts because I will be putting a lot of time into it.
Again, thanks for taking a look!
